Web Traffic Generation – How To Leverage WEB 2.0
Back in the early days of the web, posting your own information or web pages was a process only the very brave or well informed would even attempt.
Even the simple task of adding a few lines of text to a web page was something best left to those with a degree in the subject. Web design, as an art or science was in it’s infancy, and it showed!
Bright yellow web pages with lime green text, there were plenty of these about. Small graphic images that took minutes to download, and even longer to upload in the first place.
The there were very slow connections, a very minimal use of anti virus and a complete lack of any uniformity and structure.
I’m not talking fifty years ago either, just ten or twelve.
In no time at all, everything has changed. WYSIWYG (“what you see is what you get”) internet design is now very advanced. WEB 2.0 sites such as Youtube and Twitter allow user to add to the web in no time at all. Pleasing results are possible with a minimum of effort.
Facebook, Youtube, Twitter and Myspace are the leaders of a huge following pack of user friendly WEB 2.0 sites that not only allow user participation, but owe their very existence to the products that we, the end user decide to upload and participate in.
A change in method like this means that those that look to get a message across on the internet need to take a close look at how they work and adapt to the changes. There is a massive opportunity to be heard if you go about it the right way.
If you are keen to make an impact, you first need to join up. Be an active member of these sites. Have complete profiles, pictures and a bio’ that shows your areas of internet.
Next, you need to make friends with people with a similar interest to yourself. Join existing groups within your chosen niche, if none exist form your own.
The final step is to be an asset. Provide answers and information. Be seen as an expert in your field. It might just be possible to add a link back to your own site.
There are simple ways of providing information and even products through WEB 2.0. Being open, honest and ethical works best.
The internet is a more open and user friendly experience. Having your say, learning from others, and getting a clear message across to others who would benefit from it is now easier than ever. Thanks to WEB 2.0
With the massive expansion of WEB 2.0 media sites, comes easy and quick ways of gaining web traffic to your own web pages.
