Setting Up Your Profitable Blog And/Or A Mini Site With FirePow Part Two
Selecting a profitable niche was the first article we wrote about in this series.
After you have done this, obviously you will need to set up your website now so you can start making your money!
Blogs are very easy to maintain and update so these are typically what people go for in creating their site. Blogs are very search engine friendly for the most part, ones that are not, you can easily add a plugin to accomplish this.
When selecting a blog, you will want to remember your niche that you want to be in. This is important. The example we will go over is for a blog that is focusing on creating free traffic while promoting an affiliate program.
The first thing you need to do is create a blog that’s visually or aesthetically sound. A visually sound blog, other than just looking pretty, is arranged in a way that maximizes all the content you create, By maintaining your readers attention, and drawing the most There are a few ways you want to do this:
1. You want a blog that has mostly a white back ground with black text writing. This is a simple thought but a lot of people do not go with this. Black on white will not tire the eyes as quickly.
2. Choose a very clean and neat theme. Don’t distract your viewers. Make sure they know where your content is. The less you have on your blog, the better in terms of features.
3. Pages you need to have on your blog. A Privacy Policy, About Us, and Contact Pages are very good to have on your site. These will tell Google that you have a serious site. Also have an Archives Page as you don’t want to have your blogs taking up so much room in the sidebar.
There is more to go over, but for the sake of keeping this blog relatively short, we will wait till the next articles in this series.
After your blog is aesthetically sound, you need some good content!
After choosing your niche, choose a product that you want to promote. This is the cash earner!
After choosing your product, and you have created your blog, you now need to create good content that your readers will like so they will keep moving forward and move to the merchant’s page so you can earn an affiliate commission.
At this point, you should have your niche’s keywords researched – by that I mean you should have some idea of what might be a good place to attack the niche from. Ideally you’d have some key phrase related to your niche that are uncompetitive in terms of the number of pages optimized for them in the search engines.
Where you’d ideally start your content creation is by writing an article on this uncompetitive term, posting it on your site and getting it ranked in the search engines. From here, you can develop as much content on search phrases from your niche, as you desire (remember you got those phrases from a tool like the Wordtracker keyword tool) in order to increase traffic to your site.
In the next article, we will hammer on driving traffic to your site!
